Entering the womb of the earth, returning to the heart of renewal.
The sweat lodge is an ancient rite of purification, practiced by many Indigenous peoples around the world. My training is rooted in the wisdom of the Okanogan and Cherokee lineages. The lodge is a sacred structure where fire, water, earth and air come together in prayerful ceremony.
Inside the lodge, heated stones - the “grandmothers and grandfathers” - are brought in from the fire. Water is poured upon them, creating steam that carries our songs, prayers and intentions upward. In this space, we release what no longer serves us and remember our connection to the elements, the ancestors and ourselves.
The lodge is often called the womb of Mother Earth, a place of rebirth, where we emerge renewed in body, mind, heart and spirit. It is a ceremony of humility, surrender and profound transformation.
Sweat lodges may be held for groups or in more intimate, private settings. Each ceremony is guided with deep reverence, clear intention and utmost care — honoring both the traditions from which this rite is drawn and the unique journey of each participant.

Svenja creates and holds a safe space and journey for openness, vulnerability and healing with her compassion, energy and confidence which continues to flow throughout the whole process of sweat lodge. A unique being that carries one through the unique experience she provides. What a subtle catalytic re-aquaintance with self! The place was welcoming, the words reached deep places and still echoes... I really loved the cleansing before. The collective singing was what stood out for as I reflect. I'm in awe of Svenja's capacity to hold space, guide and nurture all. What a force! To feel instinctively a part of something! To primarily know that our voices are heard and that we all feel a need to connect, to strive and ultimately to thrive! What a wonderful experience! This was my second lodge, and i thoroughly enjoyed it. Svenja held such a beautiful space for all of us. It was lovely meeting new souls and sharing our experience with each other. This lodge gave me clarity on how to move forward with my healing journey, to be gentle with myself as i move through life, to fill my own cup with love, gratitude, so i can show up for myself and my loved ones! I have decided to do a sweatlodge at least once or twice a year now, for my mental, physical and emotional well-being
